Quilted Notebook Class!
Join us as we create quilted hand bound notebooks. Whether you’re looking to use up a couple fat quarters from your stash, or make a scrappy cover from your scrap bin, this class will give you the tools to finish a small project in a day. Who doesn’t love that?!
For class we have a few options to create our notebooks.
Option 1: From scratch using fat quarters or a completed pieced top and solid backing. We will quilt our covers together including binding and ribbon. We will then hand bind our pages together. We can get 2 notebooks from the fat quarters.
Option 2: Bring a completed quilt top measuring 9" x 12.5" and we will hand bind our pages together in class.
Option 3: Bring everything to quilt your cover and one finished to build 2 notebooks in class.

Supplies:
Sewing machine
Thread
Ruler
Scissors
Awl (if you have one, please bring it! If not, we will have some to share!)
2” curved needle or #18 gauge straight needle
Waxed thread or embroidery thread we can wax in class.
2 fat quarters or a pieced top measuring at least 9” x 12.5” and a fat quarter
4 - 2 1/4" WOF strips for binding (double if you want to make 2!)
Soft and Stable piece 18" x 22"
1 yard grosgrain ribbon (optional) We will have a small supply on hand to choose from as well.
Additional Class Information:
-Class participants will receive 10% instore purchases day of class.
-Studio will open 30 min prior to class start.
-Tardy/late arrivals greater than 15 minutes from class start time will not be admitted and no refunds will be issued.
-Must be 18 years or older to register unless otherwise approved or specified by the instructor in advance.
-No guests, children or pets allowed.
-Class is non-refundable. You may transfer your spot to another person by contacting the shop. If the shop/instructor cancels the class, you will be issued a full refund.
-By attending a class or event, you are acknowledging and agreeing that you may be photographed or recorded. Plain Janes & Co reserves the right to use any photographs or recordings taken during the event for promotional, marketing, or other purposes without any further consent or compensation.
Sewing Machine is required. You must be familiar with your machine including basic tasking: winding your bobbin, changing the needle, cleaning under the case. (keeping in proper working order, problem solve). Plain Janes & Co staff can provide minimal assistance depending on the machine!
