Summer Swag Class

This quilt combines strip-piecing with dramatic star blocks to get a great dimensional effect. The pieces are large and uncomplicated, letting the fabric do the talking. While it is stunning in red, white and blue.... image this quilt in Christmas or Halloween colors! The options are endless!

Use your favorite Jelly Roll or strip up your stash to make a great scrap quilt!

Required Supplies: 
Pattern: Summer Swag Quilt Pattern 
Fabric: the listed requirements for the size you wish to make. Please do not feel pressured to purchase the backing at this time. You will cut and begin piecing the quilt top.
Ruler: Creative Grids 60 degree Diamond Ruler by Krista Moser
Machine: basic working knowledge of your machine with extra needles! (we do not provide machines!)
Bobbins: please arrive with several bobbins ready to go and thread. 
Rotary Cutter: when was the last time you changed your blade?!
Scissors: small thread/embroidery size. 
Pins
Marking tool that can be seen on your chosen fabric. 
Seam ripper

All supplies can be purchased at Plain Janes & Co quilt shop, or where ever you feel comfortable shopping!
***THERE IS A MINIMUM OF 3 STUDENTS TO HOLD THIS CLASS. STUDENTS WILL BE CONTACTED 48 HRS PRIOR IF CLASS IS CANCELLED AND BE REFUNDED***



Additional Class Information:
-Class participants will receive 10% instore purchases day of class.
-Studio will open 30 min prior to class start. 
-Tardy/late arrivals greater than 15 minutes from class start time will not be admitted and no refunds will be issued.
-Must be 18 years or older to register unless otherwise approved or specified by the instructor in advance. 
-No guests, children or pets allowed.
-Class is non-refundable. You may transfer your spot to another person by contacting the shop. If the shop/instructor cancels the class, you will be issued a full refund. 
-By attending a class or event, you are acknowledging and agreeing that you may be photographed or recorded. Plain Janes & Co reserves the right to use any photographs or recordings taken during the event for promotional, marketing, or other purposes without any further consent or compensation. 


Sewing Machine is required. You must be familiar with your machine including basic tasking: winding your bobbin, changing the needle, cleaning under the case. (keeping in proper working order problem solve). Plain Janes & Co staff can provide minimal assistance depending on the machine!
