Here's a quilt for the airplane lover in your life! This is a fat quarter quilt--and each fat quarter will yield the pieces needed for both 1 background and 1 airplane. Choose a mix of dark and light prints and mix 'em all around to get this scrappy delight!
Finished Block: 16'' x 16½''
Finished Quilt: 64'' x 66''
MATERIALS NEEDED:
• 8 light fat quarters*
• 8 dark fat quarters*
• 4½ yards backing fabric
• ? yard binding fabric
• 72'' x 76'' batting
*NOTE: You will need to cut a 17½’’ x 21’’ rectangle from each fat quarter. When purchasing fabric, measure to make sure your fat quarters will allow you to do this. If you prewash fabric, you might consider purchasing half-yards.
The cover version uses fabric from a variety of collections including Persimmon by BasicGrey for Moda, Modern Neutrals by Amy Ellis for Moda, and an assortment of low-volume prints from my scrap collection.
